Storage settings

Credentials stay in this browser's localStorage and are used to sign uploads directly to your bucket. A write-only key is enough — see docs/storage-setup.md.

Recording quality

Constant quality, so busy screens cost more bytes than still ones.

Fallback bitrate (bits/s)

Only used on browsers without WebCodecs (Firefox, Safari), where recording falls back to MediaRecorder. Ignored in Chrome and Edge.

Encode with AV1 when this browser supports it

AV1 makes recordings roughly 30–50% smaller than VP9, but viewers on Safari without AV1 hardware decode cannot play them. Leave off if you share links widely.
